Election Day was Tuesday, November 6 and throughout Dickinson County citizens were making their vote count.
The USD 473 board of education held their regular monthly meeting at the USD 473 Education Center on Monday, Feb. 10. Among the items on the docket was a discussion of the bidding process to find a contractor capable of repairing the roof at Rural Center Elementary, a concern brought up by Superintendent Jerry Hodson at the November board meeting.
Congratulations to senior Emma Frieze who found out last week she is a National Merit Finalist. This designation is only made to 15,000 (1%) of graduating seniors across the United States. The Chapman City Council met for their regular monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 for what turned out to be one of the shortest sessions in recent memory. From gavel to gavel the meeting took less than 50 minutes. All were in attendance other than councilman Clint Thornton.
