Celebrating Independence Day

Last week, July 4, 2018, marked 242 years of American Independence. From July 1 to July 4 the citizens of Chapman enthusiastically celebrated that occasion with several days of exuberant firework usage.

In truth it was to be expected as the excitement of the holiday swept throughout the area with celebrations in Junction City, Abilene, Enterprise, Woodbine, and Herington. The largest celebrations, Junction City and Abilene, drew crowds in the thousands to watch their impressive firework displays.
