We made our way to an apple orchard when our youngest was about eight months old. He was asleep when we arrived so I placed him in his carrier and strapped him to my chest.
We rented a home on a farm when I was growing up and my brothers, sister, and I got those ponies that every kid wants at some point. Our farmer neighbor sold us two young cantankerous horses.
